Meta is now bringing its customizable avatars to WhatsApp after announcing support for 3D Avatars on Instagram earlier this year. Avatars on WhatsApp were first released by the firm in the beta channel in October; the functionality is currently being rolled out to all users.
In a recent blog post, WhatsApp announced the launch and described how users can customise their avatars by choosing from a selection of haircuts, facial characteristics, and clothing options. Once you've made your own personalised avatar, WhatsApp will automatically make a sticker pack with 36 stickers that represent various emotions and actions based on the avatar. Following that, you may use your avatar as the app's profile picture or share the freshly created personalised stickers with your pals.
Create your own personalised avatar by going to the new Avatar option in the app settings after updating WhatsApp to the most recent version. When you're finished, choose the Profile photo option from the same menu to utilise your avatar as your profile picture. Open a chat, touch the Emoji button, and then choose the new avatar sticker pack option in the bottom toolbar to utilise your personalised sticker pack.
As previously noted, you may customise your avatar by selecting different hairstyles, facial characteristics, and costumes. However, the messenger intends to offer support for more choices in the future. According to WhatsApp's release post, "For many people, this will be their first experience designing an avatar, and we'll keep delivering style updates, including lighting, hair style textures, and more that will improve avatars over time."
It's important to note that, at the time of writing, none of our devices supported the Avatar option. The majority of people should see it, nevertheless, in the upcoming days.
