Samsung has launched an advertisement that makes fun of Apple's iPhone in an effort to draw in customers who are unsure which brand is better, Samsung or Apple. Samsung subtly mocks Apple for not having anything fresh to offer its users by making fun of the iPhone's classic candybar design in the most recent Galaxy Z Flip 4 advertisement.
In the advertisement, a man perched on a fence represents consumers who are torn between buying an Apple iPhone or a Samsung smartphone. The man in the advertisement claims that he won't switch to a Samsung smartphone out of concern for his friends' reactions, but his friend responds by warning him that "when you bring out your new Galaxy Z Flip 4 people are going to lose it."
The man is then given a Galaxy Z Flip 4, after which his pals emerge from behind a fence to compliment the device. The final lines of the advertisement, "Time to jump off the fence" and "The Galaxy awaits you," relate to the brand of smartphones, earphones, laptops, and other devices made by Samsung.
Basically, the advertisement was released to emphasise the special folding design of the Galaxy Z Flip smartphones as well as to parody Apple's uninspired design. Also to be considered is the possibility that not everyone may enjoy the Galaxy Z Flip 4's design. In light of the fact that foldable phones need consumers to make certain compromises in terms of specifications, most people are still fine with rectangular slab-like designs (like the cameras and battery capacity).
