You may now use text prompts to search within videos on YouTube.

Today, Google for India 2022 unveiled a new YouTube feature that would be integrated into Google Search. Currently, you have to go through the movie to get the precise timestamp that contains the necessary information if you are searching for a topic on Google and come across a comparable video. Google, though, hopes to make this experience simpler by enabling text-based cues for users to search within YouTube videos. Let me describe the operation of this feature.

Explained: The New YouTube "Search in Video" Feature

The Google Search app shows you relevant YouTube videos with crucial moments highlighted when you conduct a topic-specific search. However, while researching a subject or making travel plans, a video's important moments might not be sufficient. In order to make this work simpler, Google is introducing its new "search in video" feature.

You can use this tool to search for anything said in the video by expanding the video in the search results, tapping the "Search in video" button, and then entering your search term. This will make it easier for you to find what you're looking for fast, and you may skip right to that point in the YouTube video.
You can look for instances in the video creator's Agra Vlog where they mention "Fatehpur Sikri," as demonstrated in the tweet below. Then, without having to scroll through the entire video, you may jump to that spot in the video (search results have timestamps). Sounds awesome, no?
On my OnePlus phone running Android 13, the Google Search app has access to this capability right now. Once users begin to receive access to this helpful function, we will update this post. Do you anticipate using the "search in video" feature? Please share your thoughts in the section below.
