The stadium was given the name "974" because that is both the exact number of shipping containers that were used to construct the facility and the international dialling code for the Gulf nation.
The World Cup will be played for the first time in the Middle East in Qatar in 2022. Over the past ten years, Qatar has restored one stadium and built seven brand-new ones for the sporting spectacular.
One of those seven stadiums, Stadium 974 in Doha, is notable for its unusual design. The entire stadium was constructed using repurposed shipping containers. The stadium was given the name "974" because that is both the exact number of shipping containers that were used to construct the facility and the international dialling code for the Gulf nation.
The 360-degree video of Stadium 974 was posted on Monday by the FIFA World Cup's official Twitter account. Built with 974 shipping containers, FIFA noted when sharing the footage. After the event, the stadium can be completely taken apart and used again. Check out Stadium 974.
The Doha stadium, which can accommodate 40.000 people and is designed as a port-side structure, was built in part with recycled materials, including as steel and shipping containers, claim the organisers.FIFA claims that the arena is the organization's first stadium that can be completely demolished and repurposed after an event. Seven games were held at Stadium 974, with the final one taking place on December 5 on that day. The stadium hosted the final World Cup game between Brazil and South Korea, after which "the containers and super-structure will be reused," according to the official website.

According to the stadium's official Qatar 2022 page, "This unique arena pays tribute to Qatar's long-standing legacy of international trade and seafaring. In addition to being the country code for Qatar, 974 is also the precise quantity of shipping containers used during construction. Fans at Stadium 974 will experience the cold wind that comes in from the Arabian Gulf as it rolls in from the portside section, which is located with views of Doha's coastal cityscape. "The containers and superstructure will be reused after the tournament." A vibrant commercial district and a waterfront development with first-rate amenities for the neighborhood will emerge. Stadium 974 may only be physically present for a short time, but thanks to this innovative venue development concept, its legacy will endure forever," it continues.
The stadium is in Ras Abu Aboud, Doha, and has a maximum seating capacity of 44,089 people. Stadium 974 only hosted evening matches because it was the only non-air-conditioned stadium constructed for the competition.
